The Career
Counselling Center of World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized a seminar
titled “Skills Based Education – Future
of Bangladesh” on October 08, 2026, at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda
Choudhury Auditorium of the university.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and
Engineering, WUB, attended the
seminar as the Chief Guest. Gautam
Barua, Communication Expert at National University and Guest Faculty in the
Department of English at WUB, served as the Speaker.
The seminar highlighted
the importance of skills based education in preparing students for the evolving
demands of the job market. The discussion emphasized the development of
practical skills, professional competencies, effective communication, and
career-oriented learning as essential elements for building a skilled and
competitive workforce in Bangladesh.
Faculty members,
university officials, and students attended the seminar. The programme provided
valuable insights into the role of skills based education in bridging the gap
