WUB Textile Engineering Students Secure Two Top-Three Positions at TEXVERSE 2.0, BUTEX

Students of the Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) at World University of Bangladesh (WUB) secured two of the top three positions in the Project Exhibition segment of TEXVERSE 2.0, organized by the BUTEX Science Club. The final round was held on Friday, 30 October 2026, at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) campus in Dhaka. The competition featured 48 teams from 18 universities.

Winning Teams (Project Exhibition)

·         1st Runner-Up: Team Eco Pulp BD – Jarin Mostafa (69A), Md. Rayhan (70A), and Md. Sadnan Hossain (74A).

·         2nd Runner-Up: Team Green Genesis – Tanzim Hossain Oyshi (66A), Ratiful Islam Rimon (73A), and Ahanf Tasin Bin Islam (75A).

Individual Awards

·         Best Campus Ambassador: Ahanf Tasin Bin Islam (75A).

·         Best Club Representative: Md. Rayhan (70A),

The award crests were presented by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUTEX.

In total, seven WUB teams advanced to the final rounds across five competition categories: Project Exhibition, Case Competition, Poster Presentation, Quiz Competition, and Treasure Hunt. The participating WUB teams included Loom Logic and Team ThreadX in the Case Competition (among 64 teams), Ecosorb in the Poster Presentation (among 47 teams), and Quizard in the Quiz Competition (among 128 teams). WUB also participated in the Treasure Hunt category, which featured 147 teams.

All participating teams were mentored and guided by Md. Ariful Hossain Faisal, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering, WUB.
