World University of Bangladesh Organizes Seminar on “Research Perspective: How to Start and Lead Successfully Towards Publication”

The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB), in collaboration with the IEEE WUB Student Branch, successfully organized a seminar titled "Research Perspective: How to Start and Lead Successfully Towards Publication" on 25 July 2026 at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium.

The seminar aimed to inspire students to pursue academic research and provided practical guidance on initiating research, selecting appropriate research topics, and navigating the publication process. The keynote session was conducted by Mr. Debprosad Das, Lecturer, Department of EEE, WUB, who shared valuable insights into research methodologies, journal selection, and the essential steps toward successful scholarly publication.

The programme was graced by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice Chancellor of WUB, as the Chief Guest, while Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar of WUB, attended as the Special Guest. The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, and Head of the Department of EEE, WUB.

Students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the seminar, engaging actively in the interactive discussions and question-and-answer session. The distinguished speakers encouraged students to cultivate a strong research mindset and emphasized the importance of innovation, critical thinking, and academic excellence in shaping successful research careers.

The programme concluded with a crest presentation ceremony in recognition of the guests and keynote speaker, followed by a group photograph with the participants. The seminar provided an inspiring platform for aspiring researchers to strengthen their research capabilities and prepare for future academic and professional success.
