WUB Achieves Global Recognition in WURI Ranking 2026

World University of Bangladesh rises onto the global stage, securing its place among the world’s most innovative institutions in the WURI Ranking 2026—ranked within the Top 133rd position globally in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities and achieved the 4th position among Bangladeshi universities. This achievement was attained among 3,100 participating universities from 136 countries with 13,188 submitted entries.

WURI is an international ranking system that recognizes universities for innovation and meaningful societal impact, highlighting how institutions advance education, research, and community engagement through forward-looking initiatives. The WURI Ranking 2026 results were officially announced during the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Annual Conference held from May 6–8, 2026, at National Chi-Nan University, Taiwan, and were published on the official WURI website on May 6, 2026. WUB achieved remarkable recognition in several prestigious categories, including Rank 7 in Financial Impact-Driven Technology Transfer (C8), Rank 8 in Digital and AI Transformation in Strategy and Management (B3), Rank 15 in Funding for Sustainability (B5), Rank 21 in Future-Oriented Responses to Global Uncertainty and Geopolitical Risk (A7), Rank 24 in Industrial Application (A3), Rank 80 in Student Support and Engagement (A1), Rank 87 in Ethics and Integrity (A6), and Rank 92 in Infrastructure/Technology (B6).
